"The Village North Theatre was an asset to the community and provided cinema, culture and commerce to a part of Sheridan Road that really needed it," says Bill Morton, 31. "It was a part of our lives for a very long time, and the students, neighbors and Rogers Park community will miss it dearly."

Very nice quotes from you! I had heard it was shut down.
But, I really had to laugh when they quoted Joe, the "D-29"-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! And he calls THAT a "lovely" facade? Adelphi was 10,000 times lovelier--and you've got the photo to prove it!
The time has come to DEMAND his resignation. He is doing nothing but spewing. His contributions to Citizens for Moore have fallen off. And still, he doesn't get it, what LIFE IN ROGERS PARK should be all about.
The clock is TICKING....
tick ...
tock ...
tick ...
tock ...
tick ...
Time keeps on slippin' into the future.
Just like George Bush ...
This is Joe Moore's last term.
Now that the Village North is gone, there are NO movie theaters in the Rogers Park Neighborhood and it's a damn shame! We could have had a wonderful theater on Clark street "The Adelphi" which is a million times nicer than the Village North. Now the nearest movie theater is in Evanston and it's just a cinderblock box. NO ornamentation. Is that what this world is comming to a dark gray hell hole with no details on any thing. Just simple lines and boxes with no color just gray. It's sad that the artists that designed these wonderful palaces are long gone with no one to follow in there foot steps.
Yes, Quest, the world seems to be an ugly shade of gray, muddy-looking to me.
Were I not an artist, I would be soooo depressed, and gain a lot of weight, like Oprah! HaHaHa!
I thought they were going to renovate the place...
