The Joe Moore door
So why is this "The Joe Moore door"?
The following was on posted Sunday, September 2, 2007:
Rather than fix the window, or speak with the property owner about the issue and get the job done,
Joe Moore decided to take his torn flyer back.
That doesn't seem very "progressive in the 49th ward" to me.

Well, how about this ...
Part one (above) was a doorway with a cracked window, a NO TRESPASSING sign, and a ripped-up, weather worn, and abandoned Joe Moore / David Fagus flyer.
Oh, and the door to this empty building has been left wide open.

No Exit Cafe
Years ago, maybe over a decade ago, I used to attend thier open mic and poetry nights.It was a nice little place.
Nowadays, the place seems to always be closed except for special meetings and small events.
Historical note: It's known as the oldest cafe in Chicago.... even though it is now a shell of what it once was.
