Tuesday, Oct 1st, remaining cars parked in Shambhala lot had to vacate.

Weds Oct 2nd, they did asbestos abatement and dropped off the heavy equipment.

Thurs Oct 3rd, they turned off the water for all Sherwin on the South side of the street from Sheridan to the Lake (which includes Levy House). A locksmith also changed or removed locks to front door.

Friday Oct 4th, fencing surrounds 7331 N. Sheridan Road property and back wall of building is demolished with no demolition permit on record. In addition, demolition started without proper fencing erected. (Video to be posted soon).

Pritzker Parking Garage ABC Report 9/18/2013

Jennifer Pritzker's company purchased the property at 7315-17 and 7331 N. Sheridan Rd. to build a four story parking structure, to much community opposition. ABC News Chicago reporting.

Rogers Park Chamber to seek landmark for Shambhala house

The story of 7331 N. Sheridan Road continues as the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce is working closely with the community on preserving this beautiful building.

On Wednesday June 5th, 2013, the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce will attend the Commission on Chicago Historic and Architectural Landmarks meeting to determine designation for the bungalow.

The Chamber of Commerce asks that if anyone is interested in preserving this building that they print and gain 8 signatures on the below PDF.

The petition wordage is as follows: It is the goal of the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce to have 7331 N. Sheridan Road (Shambhala Mediation Center) become a historical landmark so that the future residents of Rogers Park can admire the beautiful bungalow for many years to come. This location is where the current Mision Cristiana Elim was founded. (originally named Temple Mizpah). The owner of the home also worked hard on Marks Nathan Home for Jewish Orphans with Nicolas Pritzker, the patriarch of the Pritzker family.
