The Bosworth and Jonquil shooting on August 7th, 2011 is the most searched Rogers Park issue this morning. Animal CPR training at Rogers Bark and our theaters are also heavy searches. Paula Basta, who is running for 14th District State Representative, is getting more attention than David Fagus appointed opponent Kelly Cassidy. The now long-defunct Broken Heart of Rogers Park is still on our minds... despite author Craig Gernhardt's flip flop from defending our community to bowing to the Alderman Joe Moore. Our local CAPS meetings are a worthy interest, and photos of CFD Engine 13 have been requested.

Remembering a Public Health and Safety issue
As rumors swell of our Alderman Joe Moore of the 49th Ward shopping a seat as head of the IEPA (Illinois Environmental Protection Agency), I am reminded of Asbestos in the air and the IEPA investigation of one of Joe Moore's long-time campaign contributors.

The Impact of Jarvis Station

The closing of Jarvis Station would be detrimental to our local businesses.
I have organized hundreds of events in support of the Jarvis Square businesses. At roughly 10 to 40 visitors to Rogers Park per event, the local businesses in Jarvis would definitely lose potential new customers and sales.
Another point that most have not considered, is that once a person discovers the existence of Jarvis area businesses, they have the opportunity to return for meetings and lunches independently. This has happened more times than you may consider.
These customers very often use the Jarvis Red Line rather than driving due to the overly developed population density of our neighborhood.
