Another power outage in Rogers Park

A power outage in the Rogers Park neighborhood left thousands in the dark, and nearly jeopardized the ventilators that were keeping some nursing home residents alive.

The power outage began around 8:15 p.m. and was restored by 9:30 p.m., according to ComEd spokesman Peter Pedraza. The outages affected approximately 3,300 people and occurred between Sheridan Road on the east, Clark Street on the west, Jonquil Terrace on the north, and Albion Avenue on the south, Pedraza said.

Brown-Out at 7301 N. Sheridan Road

Quest Network Services just received a brown-out for a few seconds.

It may be due to tomorrows electrical shut-down by Com-Ed from 9am- 4pm on the 7300 block of Sheridan Road, and the 1200 block of Sherwin Avenue.



This planned power outage is to completely replace the electrical system at the 1221 W. Sherwin gut rehab project.

Buildings affected by the power outage will not have lighting, heat, elevators, laundry facilites, hot water, or any kind of electricity for the entire day.

Rogers Park Power Outage

3am, 3:20am, 4am and again at 4:20am, brown-outs and power outages occured on and around the 730o N. Sheridan Road block of Rogers Park.

Again, businesses lost hours of work and the Chicago Fire Department had to check up on the retirement communities and group homes in the area.

Even More Power Outages in Rogers Park.

Last night at the power went out again at roughly 9pm, cutting the lighting and computers over at Quest Network Services, and other areas East of Sheridan Road.

This is the third time this month that Quest lost business due to unscheduled power outages.

This is also the third time this month that the Fire Department and Chicago Police Department have had to send out patrols to monitor various group homes and retirement communities.

Additionally, this is the third time this month that traffic lights have been out along Sheridan Road.

Power outage in Rogers Park.

When 411 was called an automated message described the outage
to span from Jonquil to Pratt, and The Lake to Greenview.

Local business and traffic signals were shut down for the second time this month.
