To Provide Greater Comfort and Safety
ONLY THEATER IN COUNTRY that ever took out seats instead of adding them is the Adelphi, 7074 N. Clark, which lowered its capacity from 1400 to 1000 in order to provide greater comfort and safety. An aisle now exists between each row of seats and they are 5 inches farther apart than is required by law. One of the oldest movie houses on the North Side, the Adelphi was founded in 98.
