A power outage in the Rogers Park neighborhood left thousands in the dark, and nearly jeopardized the ventilators that were keeping some nursing home residents alive.
The power outage began around 8:15 p.m. and was restored by 9:30 p.m., according to ComEd spokesman Peter Pedraza. The outages affected approximately 3,300 people and occurred between Sheridan Road on the east, Clark Street on the west, Jonquil Terrace on the north, and Albion Avenue on the south, Pedraza said.
