Breakfast at Standee's
Had breakfast with a friend at Standee's in Edgewater this morning.
Went there to experience one of my favorite places in Edgewater for the last time, as it's doors will be closed after 60 years in business tomorrow.
I love this place!

What happened, why are they closing?
I have always enjoyed my breakfasts there.
I heard that their lease was up and the building owners chose to have restaurant M Henrys occupy the space instead.
I spoke with the owner of Standee's about this, and he said that they are planning to relocate across the street in March 2010.
No word on if the new location for Standee's will still have the same charm or classic neon sign as the former location.
