Unveiling ceremonies for a memorial plaque to the late Ludwig Sussman, founder of the Adelphi Theater and Rogers Park civic leader, will be held at 8:30 pm tomorrow in the theater lobby, 7074 N. Clark St. Sussman died two years ago.

Invocation will be given by Rabbi Jacob Singer of Temple Mizpah. Speakers will be the Rev. Charles T. Hull, rector of St. Paul's Church by the Lake, and Luke F. Cunniff, 5741 Kenmore Ave., program chairman. The plaque will be unveiled by Sam Lesner, newspaper motion picture editor.

This is the place to go for information on Rogers Park's past.

I researched Ludwig Sussman, former Rogers Park leader who ran the Adelphi Theater, fed the homeless during the Great Depression, and raised money from Adelphi Theater profits to send the troops of World War II care packages. Let's see our current Rogers Park "leaders" do so much!

The Rogers Park / West Ridge Historical Society has a large collection of rare and historic photos that are absolutely priceless. They have so many photos, in fact, that they have an annual get-together to invite the community to sort and identify these many treasures.
