New Garbage Can at Farwell Pier


The other day while out on a short stroll along the beach, I noticed a change at the pier. The change was small yet profound: there was a trash container at the location! There is an active discussion on Everyblock about Farwell Pier, so feel free to follow that discussion or start a new one here in regards to your feelings and opinions.

The Lighthouse




Bill Morton and I were walking along Loyola Beach and, as usual, took in the lighthouse. Bill took a shot from a distance and I had asked if anyone had gotten a perspective from in the water. Neither of us could think of such an occurrence so I went for a quick swim and took the photos. I must say, the water at that point was FREEZING!
