Wednesday, March 26, 2014 — Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart announced today that the department’s Central Warrant Unit officers arrested a Chicago man who owes more than $500,000 in past-due child support.
Sheriff’s Central Warrant Unit officers arrested Cedomir Zuric, 52, Friday night after receiving a tip that he was staying at a residence in the 4300 block of North Clarendon Avenue in Chicago.
Zuric owes a total of $555,876 in past due child support payments for three children. A warrant was issued for his arrest in 2008.
Zuric is out of custody after posting a $23,462.24 cash bond.
The Sheriff’s Central Warrant Unit handles the execution of arrest warrants for child support, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, police fugitives, and electronic monitoring fugitives.
