Squiggly’s Yarn Shop & Studio is a place where one can call home and let the creative experience take them to new levels.  On any given day you may hear an array of music from meditative soothing sounds to country music, you’ll love the atmosphere.  A tiny place with a lot of heart boasts Gospel Sundays where you can hear greats like CeCe Winans and some of the great gospel choirs of our time.

"Come and enjoy Motorcycle Mondays where we will encourage adult themed crochet and knit projects.  Have an idea?  We’ll make it happen!  Don’t know how to knit or crochet? Don’t worry we can teach you how!  Classes are forming and your input is necessary.  Please visit our "Classes" page to view our current list of classes, don't see a class that meets your schedule, email us, we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.  We are here to serve you; we’ll even come to your local coffee shop and hangout".

KNIT & BE FIT Sundays are every Sunday starting at 10:30 AM. Meet in front of the store and walk for 20-30 minutes and then return to the store for some knit and crochet fun.

HEADS UP

Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce Fresh Start Monday at Morse Avenue and Wayne Avenue

The Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce was founded in April of 2009 with one goal: to help struggling small businesses, and in fact, all businesses, to become successful. Chamber founder Bill Morton wasn't sure how exactly to do this, but he knew that he would do what it takes to succeed.
The Chamber struggled it's first two years, but in December of 2011, the Chamber and all of it's members started taking large strides to turn the Chamber into the vision they saw.
Chamber Founder and President Bill Morton came up with the idea of a neighborhood clean-up in support of the businesses. Eventually, the program that was created was Fresh Start Monday, an event that occurs the first and third Monday of the month from April through to November, weather pending.

The next Fresh Start Monday will be on August 5th, 2013 at Ravenswood Plaza.  This is a public event from 6 pm - 7 pm. RSVP calls to (773) 850-0049 and walk-ups are OK. This is a free community event.
