Chicago adored jazz trumpet player Corey Wilkes makes Mayne Stage debut July 22. Wilkes emerged into the Chicago music scene in 2002 and has shared the stage with renowned jazz musicians Wynton Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, James Moody and Meshell Ndegeocello. Wilkes also performs extensively in Europe as well as Africa, Japan and South America. Holding down posts as an Artist in Residence and Board Member with the Jazz Institute of Chicago and a member of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians; this young talent has now filled the vacant trumpet seat in the legendary Art Ensemble of Chicago.

Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce Unifying Rogers Park event.

All Rogers Park businesses, organizations and residents are invited to meet and greet at Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce member, Quest Network Services, 7301 N. Sheridan Road. Guests will be warmly welcomed to short (10 minute) presentations by local businesses and service organizations and served tastes from restaurants and cafes of our neighborhood.

This is a public event on Saturday, July 30th, 2011 from 12 noon - 7pm. RSVP's to Quest at (773) 761-3555 are encouraged. There is no fee to attend this event.
