  1. We are lucky to have such an historical society. Very Cool.

1349 w Morse back gangway is a deathtrap, hideyhole, drug dealing site that abuts 6928 N Wayne the senior builing on the northbound side of glenwood on the south side of morse.

Not good, both sites have been called into 311 and also to the aldermans office.

The gate doesnt shut, the metal pole/strut that the gate is suppposed to shut into has ripped free of the 1349 and is swinging back and forth in the cement and could fall at any time.

All properties need an entrance and an egress, the egress needs to however be secure so that someone isnt raped or killed here.

Also the Wayne Senior Building at 6928 N Wayne has a large area of building that needs to be tuckpointed or parged in that same spot.

  2. Okay update.....

Ive been working at the 1239 w Pratt former synagogue site with trash removal, which was done a few weeks ago, now I finally had a chance to get rid of the dead piles of trees and bushes.

I cut up and threw out all the honey suckle bramble which is the worst and two or three trees. All stuff that was dead and had already but cut down but just not disposed off.

Took all day long, glad its done, im tired...

  3. I tried to post something earlier this am, but the damn cookie thing was disabled or messed up.

Okay, one thing I failed to mention about april 11th is that a local tenant or landlord called the cops on me because I was taking up space in his trash can or dumpster.

2 police SUVs rolled up onto the former synagogue site and one set talked with him and one with me. Alert Alert! Garbage cans/dumpsters are being used illegally!!!! Haha!

So I just put the final two loads of honeysuckle bramble into my SUV and dumped it into my trash cans.

I can understand them being a little overwhelmed, I was overwhelmed as well, the branches and parts of the tree took up alot of space, it just does, hard to compact.

One neigbor was very supportive and told me to go ahead and fill up their buildings dumpster which directly abuts the fence of the synagogue. So hey, you win some you lose some. I used one other garbage can that I knew no one would mind because that place is a vacant house on pratt two doors east of the site.

Driving through the Columbia/Pratt alley south of the synagogue site this am, almost all the bramble/branches/logs were gone, save one dumpster which has some but not tons. So what was the big deal????

  4. I think I remember seeing you cleaning the synagogue site when we drove by last week.

Let me know when you are doing your next cleaning of the site. I may be interested in helping out, if I am available.

Another solution for some of those branches, is to bring them over to my beach for a bonfire.
