Arts & Culture - Rogers Park

For those in denial, including some developers, politicians who accept funding from those developers, and followers of those politicians who receive favors from the politicians... Writer Dan Savage explores the Art & Culture of The Adelphi Theater, Granada Theater and others.

Time Out Chicago: Arts & Culture - Chicago Memories

A lot of my cultural experiences as a kid and teenager were in art-house movie theaters…the Varsity…in Evanston…the Adelphi on Clark. I miss the Granada [on Sheridan]. - Dan Savage

  1. "some developers, politicians who accept funding from those developers, and followers of those politicians who receive favors from the politicians"

Call it "Rogers Park's dirty food chain" or "Rogers Park's dirty little non-secret"

Before you go on with the argument that it's never going to change, or it's "the Chicago Way"... Its not ethical or legal for politicians to accept funding from developers in exchange for zoning changes.

    That's that.

  3. Same reason Crazy Craig is out of business. Daddy Joe bought him out. Craig just wasn't smart enough to get enough scratch for his silence.

  4. Hugh,

Even though I don't agree with Craig's endorsement for Joe Moore, I believe that the advertisement was independent of the endorsement.

Craig knows the consequences of Joe Moore's re-election... and gave the 'Broken Heart' to us all.
