Both of these videos are at the same exact location, the first video displayed a "Latin Kings" crown with "LKK" (which means Latin Kings Killer).
Jarvis Station: December 27th 2008
This second video shows the shrine of Isiah "Freaky Nu Nu" Stroud, a member of the Insane Cutthroat Gangstas who was murdered recently at the exact same location.
I have sent many letters to 49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore about this dangerous location to no response at all. I have also called Alderman Joe Moore's office on several occasions to alert him about this MAJOR ISSUE, to no response at all.
1. If we had been paying attention to these issues ...
2. If we were PRO-ACTIVE, instead of RE-ACTIVE about eliminating this gang infestation of our community ...
3. If we had "seen the signs" ...
Could we have predicted this outcome before the murder occurred?
Yes.
It is possible that YOU, one day end up at the wrong-place, at the wrong-time in Rogers Park.
It is then that this issue becomes the most important to YOU.
That's a very fine "Before and After" thing you have going, Bill.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I'd like to see more of it.
Shouldn't this be considered a powerful and hateful message, just as if someone spray painted a swastika or "KKK"? I see this LKKK around the neighborhood, and no one notices or gives a damn, but I consider this a threatening and hateful symbol. I wish that we could all get together, and start a campaign to clean off gang graffiti instead of waiting for the graffiti busters.

ReplyDeleteThe only problem with this is that unless you have police protection, you run the risk of offending any gang member who spots you doing it, which could lead to trouble. As futile as it may seem, let the graffiti busters handle it. they sometimes get police protection. They know what they're doing when it comes to that stuff. Just keep calling.
