This is deeply disturbing. It appears that Streets and Sanitation
ReplyDeletewere not asigned to street sweeping in the 49th Ward. This is odd since in the ward south of the 49th ( forgive my senior moments)
come Winter, Sumer, Spring or Fall
the streets are cleaned weekly. It doesn't matter if there is snow, or
torential rains the streets are cleaned on a WEEKLY basis. As a youngster growing up in the 49th Ward I do really remember street cleaning on a weekly basis. As I have grown older I see the streets cleaned on my block maybe, MAYBE, once a month.
Better pick this up now or it will be there next Spring after the thaw!
I try to pick up the trash when I can, after taking the photos.
ReplyDeleteIn this case, there was a garbage can nearby, so I did pick it up.
