The Clark Street ghost town

Have you noticed how few businesses there are along Clark Street over the past four or five years?

From the empty Gateway Center, to the freshly robbed First Commercial Bank... Rogers Park's portion of Clark Street is in serious condition.

The teardowns, burndowns, and rundowns, that Alderman Moore is famous for supporting are wrecking business owners faith in our community.

I've been watching this former Mobil gas station (among other locations), for progress or decay.

Which do you think I usually find more of on a daily basis?

  1. Teardowns, Burndowns, and Rundowns. What a litany. It sounds like the title of a very sad documentary.

  2. It's an account of the sad shape of our community at this time.
