This weeks Red Eye cover story is entitled "City Vs. Graffiti".
I contacted Alderman Joe Moore's office about the vandalized newspaper boxes in Rogers Park several times for a solution, but he has not acknowledged the issue.
Since the Alderman's office was of no assistance at all, I will be contacting Mayor Daley's Graffiti Blasters and the Chicago Tribune's Red Eye, to remove the graffiti from their boxes.
UPDATE:
A letter to the editor stated in part "The problem is that these kids are bored and lacking in positive male role models. Give these guys something to do by challenging them to put up real art instead of the kind of junk you see under overpasses". source: Reader Feedback July 23, 2007
